To trigger an SMTP mail
run for your domain name you must first be dialled in on the mail
access internet dial in account. Then you need to configure the server
to send a dequeue command to our upstream relay server. The server to
use for this is woodstock.1st-solution.net on IP address
195.217.213.4. The server uses ETRN for mail dequeue, which means a
typical command to send to it would be ETRN mydomain.com, where
mydomain.com is your domain name
The dial in access numbers are updated
from time to time and can be found here.
If you have lost your
POP3 password then the password will need to be reset. To do this you
will need to send a fax to us on 01256 382701 on your company headed
paper and signed by an authorised signatory of the company. The fax
should list the mail box user name, the domain name on which it is
setup and what you would like as the new password. Updates take
typically 8 working hours to complete.
To get your web site
pointer changed please fax us on your company headed paper the old
address that the site was pointed to and the required new address. We
will then update the necessary forwarding to make your new site
visible. Domain forwarding changes are charged at £20.00 plus VAT, so
we will need your credit card details or customer account included on
the fax to process the changes.
If you have an account
with a DNS hosting company who allows you access to the DNS records
via a control panel or similar then we can advise what modifications
you will need to set to move the mail and web settings over to us by
phone. If no such facility is available then the domain will need to
be transferred into us. The process for a .com move may involve a
charge from the old ISP and the requirements to make the transfer
differ between ISPs, you will need to speak to them to find out. For .co.uk
you will need to ask the existing ISP to change the IPSTAG on the
domain to our IPSTAG which is 1STSOL.
If you have lost your
web space password then the password will need to be reset. To
do this you will need to send a fax to us on 01256 382701 on your
company headed paper and signed by an authorised signatory of the
company. The fax should list the web space user name, the domain name
on which it is setup and what you would like as the new password.
Updates take typically 8 working hours to complete.
